CONQUERING THE MIND

नमस्कार. This is a space for knowing about Advaita or Non-Duality.

Every being seeks happiness. Inspite of incessant search, most of us do not find real happiness. Yet we get a glimpse of this happiness and serenity in our deep sleep.This experience certainly proves that happiness is with in Self, which is our true nature. The main obstacle in realizing this innate bliss of the self in our waking state is our ego or personality (assumed 'I').

Advaita Vedanta clearly shows us the way to realize this innate happiness.

The opening verse in the Avadhuta Gita says:

ईश्वरानुग्रहादेव पुम्समद्वैतवसना

'Through grace of God alone the desire for nonduality arises in wise men to save them from fear'

न तव एवाहं जातु  नाशं

न त्वं नेमे जनाधिपाः

न चैव न भविष्यामः 

सर्वे वयं अतः परम् 

Bhagavad Gita II.12 E

In fact, there was never a time when I was not or when you or these kings were not. Nor is ot a fact that hereafter we shall all cease to be.
